I recently posted a YouTube video on 2021 wedding trends I hope to see. The video has been performing so well, I thought it wise to share the trends here!
Smaller Weddings
Smaller weddings…even once Covid is over. I hope Covid has made people realize they don’t need to invite hundreds of people to enjoy the wedding day. Small weddings are amazing because you get to spend more time with guests.
Your budget stretches farther, so you can create more experiences for guests and have more visual impact with your décor. Plus, smaller guest counts make the flow of the wedding day more manageable.

Embracing Color
Embrace color! Ivory/green and perhaps hints of gold or blush are not the only way to be timeless. You can create almost any color combination into a sophisticated palette that won’t look dated decades from now.

Personalized Décor
Personalize your décor. Don’t just make it pretty, make it you! Tell a story with the décor rather than just making it look beautiful or *expensive*.

Mix-match Bridesmaid Gowns
Mix-match bridesmaid gowns! Especially with Covid, it’s hard to shop for dresses with your bridesmaids. Email your bridesmaids your color palette and the length they should buy. Have them send their top 2-3 choices for your approval.
Everyone will comfortable being able to choose a dress that flatters them and your photos will be more interesting and more modern having women in varying gowns.

Sunday Weddings
More Sunday weddings please! When you have a Saturday wedding, out of town guests likely take Friday off work to travel and then return home Sunday. For Sunday weddings, they travel Saturday then take Monday off to return home, so the time off work is *the same.* This makes Sunday weddings logistically no different!
One perk of Sunday weddings is that, sometimes, venues will offer lower food and beverage minimums than on Saturdays. While this might not be the case in 2021, due to postponements from 2020 causing an over-saturation of weddings for 2021, it is usually quite common.
