Weddings at The Fairmont Grand Del Mar provide the couple and their guests with a spectacular event experience. No other venue in San Diego resembles the gorgeous Mediterranean property of the Grand. It’s pink walls, lush greenery, and romantic roses create a one of a kind atmosphere for San Diego weddings. If you’re interested in having your wedding at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, here is some information about its venues and costs.
While you can have your ceremony and/or reception in one of the many ballrooms of the Grand, I personally adore their outdoor spaces the most. Why not take advantage of the views and surrounding flowers and trees as your event backdrop!? Nonetheless, if you are set on having your event indoors, you have the option of the following spaces:
- Elizabeth Ballroom: 170-550 people with a $65,000 food and beverage minimum for Saturday events
- Manchester Salon and Terrace: 50-120 people with a $25,000 food and beverage minimum for Saturday events
- Elizabeth Capella: 120-170 people with a $40,000 food and beverage minimum for Saturday events
The Reflection Lawn sits adjacent to the Aria Lawn and may seat 50 to 170 guests for ceremonies or receptions. A gazebo rests at the end of the fountain and is a common spot for ceremony vows. It does look stunning with draping and floral installations, so I highly recommend adding those to the gazebo if this is your must-have spot!
Additionally, you could use the Reflection Lawn as a cocktail hour space for guests to mingle around the fountain before moving to the Aria Lawn or ballrooms for the reception.
My favorite venue at the Grand and my own wedding reception location, the Aria Lawn can seat up to 600 guests. Surrounded by the pink backdrop of the hotel as well as the iconic Aria pavilion, the lawn looks especially romantic at night once the property lights up as the sun sets. You have so many options for this space, whether you use it as your ceremony and/or reception space. Uplights can surround the lawn while market lights hang above guest tables. The pavilion can easily be wrapped in greenery and flowers to bring an elevated look to the space. Regardless of how you decorate this space, your guests will absolutely love soaking up the beauty of the Aria Lawn.
