Find me on
Gathering the words to represent the stunning BRICK wedding of Amanda and Jeff is proving the hardest task, not because of a lack of words, but because finding the right words to do this day justice is so difficult. Remember these two from their gorgeous Balboa Park engagement? Who could forget? Jeff and Amanda are utterly showstopping lovebirds.

How Amanda and Jeff Chose Their Wedding Photographer
Amanda first met with me earlier this year and had such a clear vision of her winter wedding. She wanted a deep and moody color palette with a lot of modern touches. With regards to her photography, gorgeous candid images and natural, genuine posed images. It was music to my ears to meet with this sweet gal who shares many of the same decorative preferences as me. Plus, she put 100% trust in me to document the day as I saw it. No shot lists. No Pinterest requests. Just pure Jeff and Amanda magic exactly as it happened.

Getting Ready
Amanda has such an admiration for photography. She soaked up every educational piece of advice I gave her about lighting, timing, and every other tidbit of the day that would create a gorgeous canvas for me to work with. Her suite at the US Grant had the most fabulous lighting and modern, clean walls. Surrounded by her bridesmaids and family, Amanda got ready in one of the most beautiful getting-ready rooms I’ve ever seen.

The First Look
When it was time for the first look, Jeff absolutely beamed with excitement. As Amanda approached him, I saw their emotions heighten, giving way to the sweetest tear-filled first looks. Completely absorbed in powerful feelings of love, Amanda and Jeff were in their own world. Nothing to distract them. No noticing anything happening around them. Just love.
After leaving the vibrant downtown scene around the US Grant, we all arrived at BRICK for portraits during which the ladies all carried the most gorgeous bouquets from Bloom Babes.

Ceremony
With a sweet ceremony at the North Chapel, one of Jeff and Amanda’s family friends officiated their ceremony. Gorgeous pashminas were passed out to the ladies for warmth on the walk over to BRICK.

The Reception
Walking into the BRICK reception space felt like what I imagine Alice experienced after going down the rabbit hole: a magical scene with the most stylish and adorable details. Gorgeous woodbacked chairs framed the two different variations of tables, while either greenery and candles or tall, lush centerpieces adorned the tabletops. Christy from To La Lune worked her magic with this large space and made it feel completely intimate and incredibly chic.

Toasted by siblings and best friends, Amanda and Jeff had smiles on their faces all night. When it came time for dancing, moody uplights and a greenery adorned chandelier set the tone for this party vibe.

Jeff and Amanda, I have adored having you two as a Cavin Elizabeth couple. While I will miss you dearly when you move to Portland, I look forward to all of the many wonderful things you will do in your careers and lives…and also to me flying to Portland to photograph you two in your new city. Best wishes and the most happiness to you both!
