Despite the desert heat wave that hit San Diego on this day, Meghan and Brian’s wedding at the Santaluz Club gave guests a beautiful experience full of smiles, cocktails, and endless dancing. As my second time at the Santaluz Club, I loved exploring new backdrops and spaces to create a unique story of images for Meghan and Brian. Taking advantage of the beautiful scenery of the property, we utilized so much of the stunning elements of the venue in their photos.
With so many gorgeous location opportunities, we took so much time to explore the options the Santaluz Club has to offer. Thankfully from the heat, not many golfers were out so we were able to sneak in spots that would normally be busier. When Meghan and I first met, she had mentioned that the greenery of the venue was her favorite part about it. Knowing this, I wanted to include the vines, trees, and grass of the Santaluz Club in as many photos as possible.
Santaluz Club Ceremony
Meghan and Brian’s ceremony took place on a lawn that faces the surrounding hillsides and magnificent homes of the Santaluz community. The view from the lawn had everybody in awe of the spectacular landscape just as much as they were of the couple’s sweet vows.
Reception and Sunset Portraits
The reception featured beautiful pops of blue paired with white, peach, and green floral arrangements. Organic and relaxed, the style of decor and flowers perfectly mirrored Meghan and Brian’s easy going personalities. I love when you get such a spot-on sense of the couple through their decor. Once the reception began, the fun really let loose. Under the tent, guests danced the night away and enjoyed every single second of this fun, carefree reception with some of the best dancing music.
