We are a Week Out from Our Wedding at the Grand Del Mar!

David and I get married this upcoming Sunday and we are so excited! Although I won’t be sharing too many special details, I wanted to share what I can! For those of you wondering what we are doing the week before the wedding, here you go!
We are a Week Out from Our Wedding at the Grand Del Mar! What we are doing the week before our wedding to prepare and relax.

1. David’s Bachelor Trip

David and his groomsmen and friends are currently on a bachelor trip. Planned by his best man, the trip destination is the lively Las Vegas. Can’t wait to hear all about it when they get back!

2. Wedding Day Packing

I have an entire post dedicated to what to pack for your wedding, which you should read! For me, I’m also putting together a styling package for my planner and photographer. In the package are ring boxes, a miniature chair, ribbons, every piece of our invitations, and more.

Each piece looks cohesive with out design and color palette and will be used for styling our personal details and our stationery.

3. Tying Up Loose Ends for Work

I personally am sending out all client emails, galleries, and questionnaires before the wedding. I don’t want to work between April 5th and 20th, so I am preparing ahead of time. Sending out client emails earlier than I need to and scheduling out all blogs, videos, and social media posts ensures I won’t worry about a thing while I’m gone!

4. Cleaning Our Condo

If you haven’t heard, we bought a condo in Balboa Park in December. Since many of our family members want to see it, we’ve been organizing! We also are having a housekeeper come by for a deep clean. With her cleaning and our organizing and tidying, our place will be in visitor-worthy condition!

5. Manicures

My bridesmaids and I will be visiting Hello Birdie on Friday to have our nails done. The bridesmaids will have fun designs for their nails! Since my gown is very colorful, I might just opt for a solid color to not overwhelm my attire.

6. Hydrate, Moisturize, Sleep

I’ve blogged about skincare for the wedding and boy am I following my own rules. I am drinking at least a gallon of water each day. Additionally, I am moisturizing my skin in the morning and the evening. To avoid breakouts, I keep my hands away from my face and am limiting sugar intake as I know that breaks me out.

7. Teeth Whitening

Last minute teeth whitening could not be more vital for pearly whites. While we don’t want unnatural looking teeth, we do want them as white as possible! Smiles are so important in images :)

8. Dance Lesson

Technically we did this last week, though it’s close enough! David and I took a single dance lesson at Fred Astaire to ensure we look somewhat coordinated for our first dance. In our case, it is literally our first dance. Somehow in over 6 years, we have never once danced together. Hopefully it goes well!

9. Exercise

Just because it’s wedding week doesn’t mean we are skipping fitness. David and I are still hitting the gym with our trainer twice this week. I’m also going to a few Pilates classes. We also plan to get in two workouts in between the wedding weekend and honeymoon. It is very easy for me to fall out of good habits, so by sticking to our workouts it helps keep them going!
