Find me on
Dorian and Ian, who you might have seen from their Coronado engagement session, tied the knot this May. Their San Diego Botanic Garden wedding featured gorgeous colorful flowers, a cake that would give anybody a sweet tooth, and two of the most smiley people I’ve ever photographed.
Getting Ready
Dorian got ready for the day at her mother’s home in Encinitas. I absolutely loved her details and the fact that we had a beautiful yard in which the last touches of her dress came together.

Ian dressed for the wedding at his parents’ home in Coronado with his four groomsmen – one of who cooked everybody lunch in a Star Wars apron (love that!).

Botanic Garden First Look + Portraits
Short and sweet, Ian and Dorian’s first look was full of nothing less than the sweetest smiles and a touch of laughter. After, I photographed them throughout the gardens before meeting up with their bridal party. The bridesmaids wore beautiful blue dresses and the groomsmen donned sleek suits.

Botanic Garden Wedding Ceremony
One of the things I loved about Dorian and Ian’s ceremony was that many people were crying, from friends to family members. It’s so touching to see how deeply guests are moved by a couple’s vows and marriage.

Botanic Garden Wedding Reception
For their reception, Ashley from Coastyle Events designed a gorgeous summer outdoor reception on the gazebo lawn. White farm tables were mixed in with rounds that were covered in a thick and luxurious white linen. Blooms by Breesa Lee made the most beautiful pink and peach arrangements that made the reception just colorful enough for this early summer wedding.

If people were moved by the ceremony, they were twice as such for the toasts. When Dorian’s sister gave her speech, it was so sweet and sincere. Seeing how close Dorian and Ian are to their families was such a delight. Every single person was kind, loving, and so happy for the newlyweds. That is what I call a major life goal.

Ian and Dorian, your wedding was so beautiful and I loved every second of working with you two. It was the most magical day and I’m honored to have been a part of it.
