Looking for a modern, clean venue for your 2021 or 2022 celebration? This Julep Venue wedding editorial might just convince you to book this sleek space! I teamed up with them and my bridal boutique in San Diego for a shoot that was published on Style Me Pretty the other week. My inspiration was the joyful spirit of intimate weddings and to show how small weddings can be just as beautiful and impactful as pre-Covid large celebrations.

Invitations and Cocktails
Loren of Four Things Paper created a gorgeous hand calligraphed invitation suite. The envelopes were a stunning French blue with illustrated floral drawings for their liners. I can’t resist an elegant envelope liner!

Additionally, Loren created a personalized signature cocktail menu with illustrations of sweet golden retrievers. Not only do I love when couples have signature drinks, but also when they commission a unique menu illustrating their hobbies, history, or pets. Snake Oil Cocktail Company is actually the owner of Julep; if you host a Julep Venue wedding, you’re guaranteed to have the tastiest of libations.

San Diego Wedding Dresses
All curated by The White Flower Bridal Boutique, these gowns are all stunning in their own right. I selected dresses from Martina Liana, Netta Benshabu, and Marchesa Notte for this editorial – plus one long sleeve gown with overskirt by Kelly Faetanini. For fall and winter weddings, you certainly can but are totally not limited to long sleeve and “warm” gowns. You can choose whatever silhouette and sleeve type to suit your personal preferences. The first section of gowns below are from the Marchesa Notte line – a more affordable sister line to the Marchesa Couture gowns.

Next, I’ve showcased a handful of gowns from Netta Benshabu – an incredibly talented designer from Israel. Netta’s wedding dresses are a newer addition to The White Flower.

We shot just one gown from Kelly Faetanini – the long sleeve beauty Brigitte who is shown with and without an organza overskirt.
Lastly, our latest Martina Liana wedding dresses feature a number of textures and silhouettes.

Julep Venue Wedding Reception
For the reception space, Nadine of Studio Fleurish decorated a sweetheart table with chic fall tones and a glorious centerpiece. Plus, we utilized the floral arch from the bridal portraits as a backdrop for the table. I am always a fan of repurposing flowers for weddings, no matter if you have a small or large floral budget.

In case you like a darker look, Studio Fleurish curated a second tablescape look with black and pastel mustard tones.
To Be Designed furnished a cozy fall lounge that would be delightful for an intimate wedding in keeping with Covid precautions. Just looking at those tufted pieces makes me want to curl up with a hot chocolate!
