Kimia and Cole planned an intimate waterfront courthouse wedding in San Diego with their closest friends and family. The San Diego courthouse on Waterfront Park is no ordinary courthouse. It’s soft blush walls are surrounded by beautiful gardens that were a stunning setting for this couple’s elopement. Kimia asked me to choose the location in the park for their ceremony and I selected an area beneath a lush tree. It felt like such a serene location full of beauty.

During the ceremony, Kimia and Cole read personalized vows filled with sweet promises and the kindest words. Their friends, family, and adorable dog watched as they said their vows and had their first kiss as husband and wife. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day and perfect weather for Kimia and Cole’s ceremony. It really was the most perfect day for their waterfront courthouse wedding!

After the ceremony, we took a few family portraits before sneaking away for bride and groom photos. Kimia had fun denim jackets made with their wedding date, which we had to showcase in their portraits. I just love that they’ll be able to wear these jackets for the rest of their lives and have a little memory of the wedding day with them each time they wear them.

We left the courthouse for the Hilton Bayfront hotel for a final set of bride and groom portraits. I included Kimia’s bouquet in her bridal portraits and it looked stunning in the scenic location at the hotel. It featured a variety of beautiful organic tones that felt very “San Diego.”

After portraits were done, Cole and Kimia left to meet their family at Coasterra for a wedding reception lunch. What a fabulous way to celebrate their wedding day in true San Diego style over coastal tacos!
