Find me on
After three years of planning and two postponements, Sarah and Drew’s Rancho Valencia wedding finally happened! I absolutely adore these two and their wedding day was just the sweetest. With about 50 guests, they celebrated their marriage at one of San Diego’s most beautiful venues.

Getting Ready
Sarah got ready in a beautiful Valencia suite, where I photographed her stunning invitation suite, rings, shoes, and bouquet. After, it was time for her to get into her Martina Liana gown with the help of her bridesmaids. After an especially long wait for this day to arrive, everyone was so touched to see Sarah in her complete bridal look. She glowed and burst with excitement to hold her gorgeous pink bouquet. I do love a colorful floral arrangement!

First Look and Portraits
Drew waited to see Sarah on a private pathway and was giddy at the sight of her. He donned a blue suit with just enough personality to match Sarah’s colorful bouquet. They rocked their portraits on the pathway and at Rancho Valencia’s spa. The spa is one of my favorite locations for portraits – it has great backdrops and is quite intimate. After we finished their portraits, we met with their wedding party for group photos. I just adored the bridesmaids’ mix-match dresses. It’s a growing trend that I am obsessed with!

Croquet Lawn Ceremony and Cocktail Hour
The couple’s ceremony was short and sweet. Sarah and Drew both read their own personalized vows before kissing and walking hand and hand down the aisle as a married couple. The cocktail hour was held on the same lawn and allowed guests to watch the sunset over the property.

Rancho Valencia Wedding Reception
Heavily pink flower arrangements graced the long reception tables on the sunrise patio. Beautiful patterned chargers provided a unique place setting for each guest, while table numbers that matched the invitation suite gave clear guidance for guests. Sarah and Drew entered the reception straight into their first dance, heard some wonderful toasts, and danced with their parents. It was such a beautiful, intimate Rancho Valencia wedding. And this is only part one of their celebration. Stay tuned for part two for their Saturday evening celebration at a private estate later this week!
