Find me on
Jeff and Bailey, who recently moved from Las Vegas, where we had their engagement session, to Reno, have a special place in their hearts for desert landscapes. It’s no surprise that they chose to have an Indian Wells Golf Resort wedding in La Quinta, right around where Bailey grew up.

One of the things that drew these two to their venue, besides it’s location, was the set of mountains surrounding the resort. Mimicking the feeling of their guests surrounded by love, the mountains and the soft desert colors paired with the lush greenery of the venue created such a memorable ambiance for their guests.

Photographing Bailey’s details had me so giddy to be working with so much rose gold and pink. The softness of her details paired beautifully with her lush bouquet and her bridesmaids’ varying gowns. Everyone felt so gorgeous and feminine!

When it came time for the first look, Bailey and Jeff were both calm and collected, though quite excited and eager to see each other. I would like to stop for a moment to ensure that you recognize how adorable their height difference is, especially considering Bailey wore heels. It’s so cute, I can barely stand it ;-)

It’s not often that I work with bridal parties as large as this one. Jeff has many cousins and they both have many close friends, so it was important for them to include these loved ones in their group. Showered with love and support by their bridesmaids and groomsmen, Bailey and Jeff have truly created a tight knit group that makes for some serious friendship goals.

After some time to chat and catch up with each other, guests took their seats to witness the ceremony. As each member of the bridal party walked down the petal covered aisle, anticipation for seeing Bailey in her gorgeous gown rose among the crowd. As Bailey took each step toward Jeff, her grin widened a little more. The moment that she reached the front of the aisle, she very clearly experienced a huge wave of emotion that hit her all at once. In that moment, I think everyone held back a few tears before Bailey’s parents passed her off to Jeff to take their seats. Being there to photograph that split second of tidal wave-esque love was such an honor and a photo I will never forget.

Once the sweet ceremony ended and Jeff and Bailey became Mr. and Mrs., they snuggled up on a golf cart to chase the sun for a few glorious sunset images. One of the things I love about these two is that they’re adventurous (remember their Red Rock engagement?). When we spotted a somewhat overgrown area of the resort with beautiful backlight, they had no qualms about trudging through the weeds and brush for their photos. I truly love the attitude of anything for the wedding photos. It always rewards my couples!

Bailey’s vision of pastels mixed with desert-inspired decor came to life thanks to Joey and his team at Artisan Event Floral Decor. Succulents and gorgeously soft-toned flowers adorned each table under an intimate white pavilion lit only with warm market lights. It created the perfect atmosphere for the sweet toasts and dances of the evening.

Ending the night with their cake cutting (which was a unique lemon pomegranate!) and tons of dancing, Jeff and Bailey truly had a magical winter desert wedding before heading off to Thailand for their honeymoon.
