Please note that Hidden Castle is no longer a venue as of June 2018 and that you are reading this on a photographer’s website. If you are looking for a venue in San Diego, I suggest searching The Knot or Google. Unfortunately, I am unable to give out personalized venue recommendations at this time.
Don’t be fooled by this San Diego area wedding venue. It is most definitely not located in Europe! The Hidden Castle wedding venue is located in Rancho Santa Fe, a quaint and upscale area north of San Diego, and is totally breathtaking. Pulling into the property through the iron gate and driving down the stone driveway immediately set the tone for this private estate.
Upon seeing the house, you’re immediately met with an abundance of stone and ivy and also a turret, an ideal ingredient for any fancy chateau-inspired estate. We’ll stop here for now before moving around the right side of the home.
Charming Setting for Bride and Groom Portraits
Once you start to go around the right side of the home, there’s a little walkway to take you to the backyard. An inviting statue pulls you in before leading you to the pool and patio. Add in some market lights and you’ve got the most romantic evening ever. Walking alongside the edge of the backyard, you’ll see the spiral staircase that takes you up to the balcony. From there, the view of the lower level of the property and of the mountains of Rancho Santa Fe and specifically, Cielo, would be an absolute showstopper for guests.
Heading back down, take note of the small golf course on the Hidden Castle property. We’ll come back to that in a bit. First, let’s dive into this adorable fountain and exposed hallway that are right off the spiral staircase. All I could think was how these columns, which connect the main and guest houses, and the rose bushes would make for the most gorgeous bride and groom portraits. Just beyond the columns are the garages, which are probably the most beautiful garages I’ve ever seen.
Let’s go back to the golf course. It’s adorable and unexpected, but every bit as welcome. I can absolutely see the groomsmen hanging out with clubs and cocktails before they have to get dressed inside the guesthouse.
I hope you enjoyed the photo tour of the Hidden Castle wedding venue. It’s European-inspired architecture makes it a perfect venue for the bride and groom looking for a stunning private estate wedding venue in the San Diego area.
Hi Cavin,
Is there an email to reach this stunning venue? I can’t seem to find one! :) Thank you so much for sharing!
