Find me on
Margaret and Dom, whose engagement photos took place at Mission San Juan Capistrano, hosted their Westgate Hotel wedding this August with over one hundred of their closest friends and family members. With beautiful weather and such a sweet couple, there’s no mystery how this day turned out so stunning.

Details + Getting Ready
Margaret’s accessories featured a lovely amount of rose gold, which looked beautiful with her dark hair. Her shoes featured similar pink tones and were a perfect fit for her Stella York gown. Let’s talk about that gown for a second. It’s detailing looked fabulous and sparkled every time Margaret turned and walked. Such a show stopping gown for a gorgeous bride!

Meanwhile, Dominick got dressed in a navy blue suit and opened his gift from Margaret that was covered in glitter (they’re probably still finding glitter in that room!)

The Immaculata Wedding Ceremony
Dom and Margaret said their vows at the Immaculata on the USD campus. This is a church that I’ve had the pleasure of shooting for Krista and Will last year and Patrick and Veronica earlier this year. It features remarkable architecture and an iconic dome under which the couple had their first kiss.

Bridal Party and Bride and Groom Portraits
Not only does the Westgate Hotel offer a number of gorgeous interior options for portraits, it also has a rooftop with soft neutral backdrops that I love. You can truly have such a large variety of portrait looks at this venue. Plus, if you love the more urban environment of downtown, you could always explore the streets around the hotel.

Westgate Hotel Wedding Reception
Their reception featured large ivory and blush flower arrangements that sat beautifully within the French-inspired ballroom of the Westgate Hotel. I adore this ballroom and actually photographed an editorial based on The Crown in this space. Knowing that Margaret fell in love with the chandeliers, textured walls, and mirrors of the space, I included as much detailing of the ballroom in the background of my detail images as possible. Knowing why couples love their venue is so helpful to my shooting process, as I will always make an effort to highlight their favorite elements in their gallery.

Margaret and Dom, you two are so gracious, kind, and loving. Thank you for choosing me to photography your wedding. I’m so happy that I’ve gotten to know you two and that I also met your sweet dogs twice. You four make the sweetest family!
