Find me on
Scott and Sarah’s Estancia wedding in La Jolla took place in July with just a handful of guests. Their intimate affair originally meant to be in Hawaii with a larger crowd but downsized due to the pandemic. With a total of 8 people for the day, this micro wedding was so beautiful, romantic, and fulfilling that it seemed nothing like a compromise! It was perfect in every way. See it published on Ruffled or read on for more of part one of this beautiful wedding day.

Getting Ready
Estancia La Jolla is such a quaint and relaxed venue. Sarah got ready in one of the suites with her mother and close friend while I photographed her beautiful invitation suite and personal details. After, it was time to get Sarah in her gown before the first look.

First Look & Portraits
Scott first saw Sarah on a quiet, winding pathway on the back of the Estancia property. They exchanged some kind words and laughs before moving on with their portraits. I always love the first look moments. They’re so sweet and give the couple private moments that they won’t get once the wedding day gets started!

Estancia Wedding Ceremony
Their ceremony was held under a large tree with a capiz shell curtain that mimicked Hawaiian decor. The curtain was complemented with colorful ribbons that steamed down toward the floor decor. These ribbons and shells were surrounded by grounded floral arrangements that brought beautiful color to the space. For comfort, guests sat in lush neutral chairs and were provided with umbrellas to shield themselves from the sun.

Stay tuned for Part Two which features beautiful beach portraits as well as the most beautiful intimate reception you’ve ever seen. It’s definitely worth the wait! To see more weddings from Estancia La Jolla click here. To see Scott and Sarah’s engagement session, click here.
