Find me on
You might remember Jamison and Jenny, my college roommate, from their picnic engagement session I shot this past fall. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of flying back to Georgia to photograph their Atlanta Country Club wedding in Marietta. Photographing the wedding of a friend is such a huge honor, especially since they asked me to fly across the country to capture their day. Jenny and Jamison’s wedding had me swooning all day and I loved every second of it.

Getting Ready
I arrived at Jenny’s family home the morning of the wedding and was greeted by her mother and sisters, as well as other bridesmaids. I began by shooting the letterpress wedding invitations, which were actually designed by one of Jenny’s sisters. The look and feel of thick, cotton letterpress invitations make a beautiful statement and set the tone of the wedding for guests.

First Look
As I always recommend, Jenny and Jamison eagerly opted for a first look before their ceremony. The moment Jamison saw Jenny, he completely melted and was grinning from ear to ear. I always love first looks and think that they provide not only beautiful images, but also such a sense of peace and relaxation for the couple. You don’t have much alone time on a wedding day, so first looks provide a time in which couples can have a private moment before entering the craziness of the wedding timeline.

Northside Methodist Ceremony
The couple got married at the Northside Methodist Church in Atlanta. In a short and sweet ceremony, Jenny and Jamison exchanged vows and were beyond elated when they walked down the aisle hand in hand. This moment of the wedding day is always one of my favorites because the emotion is at an all time high. I’ve never not seen the biggest smiles of the day on my couples’ faces, who are just overwhelmed with joy and love.
Atlanta Country Club Wedding Reception and Portraits
Jenny and Jamison’s reception was held at the Atlanta Country Club, not to be confused with the Country Club of the South, which I had the pleasure of working last year. Their decor provided such a stunning atmosphere for guests. Classic and clean, the flowers sat beautifully atop the gorgeous tabletops inside the reception room.

Jamison and Jenny, I have adored working with you two. Jenny, when you told me that right after getting engaged, you woke Jamison up to tell him who was going to photograph your wedding, it made me feel so special. It’s been an honor to be a part of your wedding and I am so happy that you two have found each other. You’re both going to rock married life!
