Find me on
I first met Lindsay and Kirk when they visited Palm Springs for their engagement photos. I instantly connected with Lindsay over our like-minded Type A personalities and our shared love of fashion (see: their engagement photos). I had been waiting so patiently for their Atlanta Country Club of The South wedding that was over a year out from their engagement. I knew it was going to be absolutely gorgeous and today you’ll see that it absolutely was divine.
Normally, I scavenge for beautiful styling materials that I either bring from home or find amongst the bride’s details. For Lindsay and Kirk’s wedding, Lindsay had prepared some gorgeous pieces to include with the rings, jewelry, and other accessories. Having started shooting at what was 5am Pacific, I was so thankful to have such perfect details and styling pieces ready for me to capture.
Kirk, a very calm and collected Southern gentleman, was absolutely awestruck with Lindsay during their first look. I am completely and utterly a champion of the first look and these images show just how beautiful and quaint these moments can be.
Having shot two this year, I’ve been loving brunch weddings. Not only is the food so yummy, the light is so much more abundant throughout the entire day. As much as I love working in challenging dark venues, I will always more so adore the natural light that I’m able to work with for brunch receptions. It’s just so soft and beautifully complements exquisite details. Lindsay certainly designed her reception with so many fun details, such as a gorgeous donut display and a custom-built moss wall. Everything was just too good!
To say the reception looked absolutely exquisite would be an understatement!
Kirk and Lindsay, I loved jetting off to Atlanta to photograph your gorgeous wedding. It was such a delight seeing you two again and documenting all of your beautiful wedding day moments. I wish you two a long and happy marriage!
