Find me on
Samantha and Aron’s wedding at Estancia La Jolla originally was set for 2020 but Covid meant they had to postpone to 2021. After many years of planning, their beautiful al fresco celebration finally had its debut. At Estancia, they chose to marry on the Olive Lawn and dine on the Garden Courtyard.

The Wedding Morning
Samantha got ready with her 6 bridesmaids, one of which was her mother. How sweet is that!? They all wore matching colorful silk robes, which is something I encourage brides to do. Wearing some sort of coordinating robe or pajama always makes for beautiful wedding morning photos.

Aron got ready with his 8 groomsmen and looked very sophisticated in his blue suit and tie. Groom prep is always much more simple on the wedding morning, so the guys have much more time to hang around and relax on the wedding morning.

First Look and Portraits
Thanks to incredible timeline planning, we had lots of time for bride and groom portraits after Sam and Aron’s first look. We were able to explore many areas of Estancia La Jolla for photos. This is why it is so important for the wedding planner and photographer to work together on the timeline to ensure there is ample time for photos and enough padding in the timeline in case the wedding morning events run late.

Sam and Aron had so much fun during their portrait time, especially once we added in their wedding party!

Ceremony on the Olive Lawn
The ceremony took place on Estancia La Jolla’s Olive Lawn, which has the most beautiful backlight during the afternoon. Sam and Aron exchanged their vows and had their first kiss as husband and wife before happily strutting down the aisle as a married couple.

Reception on the Garden Courtyard
Cocktail hour and the reception both took place on the Garden Courtyard at Estancia. Before joining the reception, we took the couple for sunset portraits. Golden hour light should never be ignored! After these portraits, the couple had their grand entrance and made a welcome speech. Later in the evening, Sam’s sister made a toast, followed by the best men. After, Sam and Aron cut the cake, Sam danced with her father, and finally the couple had their first dance. It was a beautiful end to their photos of the evening.
