You know I love a formal outfit for engagement sessions. I can’t help but love those fashionable couples who take my advice and wear a gown and suit and tie to their sessions. It truly elevates the look of their engagement session images and also makes them feel so confident and sleek. If that sounds like a lovely combo, you’ll love my top suggestions for where to rent outfits for engagement photos.
Rent the Runway
My go-to gown rental boutique for brides is Rent the Runway. They have affordable rental costs for gowns that would retail for a few hundred to a thousand or so dollars. I love that RTR will send you a second size of the same gown for no extra cost, just in case one fits you better than the other!
Armarium
Newer to the scene and much more couture-based, Armarium is a rental company that offers clothing and gowns from some very high-end designers such as Marchesa, Monique Lhuillier, and Naeem Khan. Rental costs here will be quite pricey, but absolutely worth the cost if you have your sights set on a gown that would retail for several thousands of dollars!
For Grooms: The Black Tux
Grooms, don’t fret. I’ve got you covered! If you don’t have a suit or tux for your engagement photos, go straight to The Black Tux and look no further. TBT has an amazing selection of mostly tuxes to rent, but also has a few suit options.
You can rent the 2-3 piece selection or opt for the full outfit, which is usually around $180-$200. That’s not bad considering it includes everything you’d need to wear. Some Nordstrom stores actually offer in-person fittings so you can guarantee that your Black Tux outfit will fit perfectly.
Once you’ve found where to rent outfits for engagement photos, I recommend considering a bouquet as an accessory for brides. It’s beautiful and it gives you something so pretty to hold. Have your florist make one for you or if you haven’t yet hired one, this would be a great opportunity to see how well they nail your style!
