How to Have the Most Flattering Wedding Gown

While shopping for wedding gowns, you’ll find that confidence is the most important element of your decision. For most brides, the wedding gown will be worn for several hours, likely with uncomfortable shoes. You should feel absolutely gorgeous in the gown you choose. Today’s blog discusses how to have the most flattering wedding gown, so that confidence will come easily. Gown Silhouette

Dozens of articles exist on which gown shapes are best for certain body types. I don’t think you can really apply those rules to all of the women in the world. What I do think is that you should find gowns that emphasize or complement your favorite features and minimize or distract from your least favorite features. Bride at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe

Gown Color

Another thing you want to consider is the color of your gown, if you don’t have a set preference. Be sure that your gown compliments your skin color. If your skin tone is dark, you may want to consider a pure white dress. If your skin is medium with hues of olive tones, consider a diamond white dress. If you are fair or medium with yellow tones, you may want to look into an ivory or creamy ivory dress respectively. Elopement wedding dress with long sleeves and lace and mock turtleneck, Cavin Elizabeth Photography

Gown Restrictions

One of the most important things about your gown, besides confidence, is that you can walk, sit, and dance in it. I’ve known a few brides who couldn’t easily sit or dance in their gowns and they regretted not being able to enjoy themselves as much as they would’ve liked.
