8 Unique Cocktail Hour Food & Drink Wedding Ideas

I am such a foodie and always love when couples spice things up with their sips and bites at weddings. If you feel the same way and want some inspiration for your own 2023 wedding, here are 8 unique cocktail hour food and drink ideas. Read below or watch the YouTube video at the bottom of the page to get inspired!

8 Unique Cocktail Hour Food & Drink Wedding Ideas

1. Jamba Juice Bar
For my own wedding, we had a circular bar. On one side, cocktails were served and on the other: Jamba Juice! Smoothies tied into our relationship history and were a huge hit and a unique touch for our guests.

2. Raw Oyster Bar
At this beautiful L’Auberge Del Mar wedding, my couple had a raw oyster and shrimp bar for cocktail hour. Such a fun seafood touch for their coastal wedding!

3. Brunch Foods
Love brunch foods but don’t want them to be served for your reception meal? Serve them during cocktail hour instead? Think minis for tray pass or for a full self-serve station.

4. Frozé Pops
Great for summer weddings, boozy (or even not so boozy) frozen pops would be an adult spin on a nostalgic childhood treat! Check out my Youtube video below to see an example and learn where you can get some that are customizable to your wedding aesthetic!

5. Escort Card Drink Wall
Make your escort card display at cocktail hour interactive with something drinkable or edible that’s more than the usual champagne glass. Better yet – tie it into your wedding’s design or theme.

6. Mini Pizzas
Love miniatures? Serve up some miniature pizzas in adorable mini pizza boxes whether you DIY them or have them custom-made. Watch my video below for an example!

7. Decorated Cocktail Glasses
If you have a small guest count and want to try your hand at DIYing some glasses or have the budget for your cocktail company to do it for you, a decorated glass is such a fun way to spruce up your drinks! This one from Snake Oil Cocktail is so fun and festive!

8. Pretzel Station
If you love a specific food like donuts or pretzels that can come with different toppings or sauces for dipping, set up an entire dedicated station for just that food! See my video below for an example of a unique pretzel station.
