5 Great 2023 Wedding Registry Ideas for Brides and Grooms

Today’s blog consists of 5 great 2023 wedding registry ideas for you to consider as you plan your big day. With more and more couples waiting longer and living together, registry types have become much more diverse over the years. You’re not just stuck with traditional, old-school registries. There are so many awesome registry ideas for you that feel quite practical and modern!

5 Great Wedding Registry Ideas for Brides and Grooms

1. Home Goods

I’ll start with the classic registry type first. If you’re truly in need of new towels, dinnerware, cooking sets, or other household items, go ahead and get started on making a list that you can use for a registry with Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Bed Bath and Beyond, or Williams Sonoma. You can even register for any of these places through My Registry! You can also use Amazon, which is what I used for a majority of my favorite registry items – which I’ll list below! Several of these items can be used with the group contribution feature.

2. Honeymoon Funds

One of my favorites, honeymoon funds focus on gifting couples with experiences, rather than material items. Personally, I’m all about having memorable experiences these days. I’d happily fly to Europe for a 2 week vacation filled with excursions as opposed to buying new furniture! If you feel similarly, check out Honeyfund!

3. Photography Products

A personal favorite of mine. For our wedding, we used Zola and added a few custom items through the cash fund. One of which was a wedding album. I determined the cost of the album and added it to the registry as a group gift. It was fully funded and we had our album designed and delivered within 3 months of the wedding!

4. New House Down Payment

Let’s face it, buying a home isn’t cheap. If what you really need or desire is help with your house, register for that! I know you’ll find some people on forums talking about how tacky this is, but just ignore it. Your guests don’t have to gift you a portion if they’d rather buy the towels you registered for, but at least you greatly increases your chances of making that first house payment!

5. Charitable Donations

If you have nearly everything you need or you want to provide a charitable donation option for your guests, then by all means check out Zank You! Either will allow you to register for specific charitable causes, which is fantastic if you’re both philanthropic :-)
