Find me on
As a current bride-to-be, there have been so many wonderful bridal favorites of mine that I’ve discovered this year. Whether it’s a beauty product, a fitness routine, or a fun goodie, I’ve been loving these 10 products and services and had to share them with all of you!
Smashbox Liquid Lipstick
If you know me, you know that I rarely leave the house without a bold lip color on my lips. Especially for wedding days, I find it so important to have a lip color that will last all day and through my meals. Smashbox’s liquid lipstick in Babe Alert is my go to shade for a gorgeous pop of color. It is perfect for brides, as it suits many skin tones and will last through your showers, engagement photos, and any other event you’re attending for multiple hours.
Although I tend to lean toward natural face makeup (paired with a bold lip, of course!), I do love to use a bit of contour under my cheekbones to give my face more dimension. I find it especially impactful for photos and videos. Lately, I’ve tried the Guize Face FX Contour Powder Collection palette in Moonlight and adore it. It blends so easily and has just enough warmth to it to suit my pale skin without looking orange. I’ve tried other cooler toned contour, but they always looked like smudged dirt! Guize’s contour is a perfect shade for fair toned skin, plus they have a few other shade options if you have a darker complexion.
Robed with Love
My amazing new friend Lindsay created a beautiful robe for her own wedding. Eventually, she began making more and created a set of gorgeous robes that brides and bridesmaids will absolutely love! Robed with Love also donates a portion of proceeds to charity, so I’d say that makes it even more of a special purchase. The awesome thing about these robes is that you don’t only have to wear them on the wedding day, you can wear them for life. They’re timeless and truly stunning!
A Bride’s Guide to a Picture Perfect Wedding
Given that this book is one of my most cherished accomplishments, it of course had to have a place on my bridal favorites. Any bride or groom who truly values photography and wants their photos to be their version of perfect will love my book A Bride’s Guide to a Picture Perfect Wedding.
If there’s one thing that takes little effort but has a huge impact on your smile, it’s teeth whitening. A nice set of pearly white teeth gives anyone an instantly better smile. I myself have been using teeth whitener to prepare for my engagement photos and it has made a huge difference for me!
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
Another aspect of a gorgeous smile is a healthy set of lips. With it being dry in Southern California, my lips are usually chapped which makes lipsticks look less than great. Lately, I’ve been using the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask to help and I am in love. It has done wonders for my lips and I am totally addicted!
Madame CJ Walker Hair Mask
The healthier your hair is, the better is will photograph and style! I am a huge proponent of proper hair care and make sure to use a hair mask at least once a week. I recently purchased the Madame CJ Walker hair mask after reading its excellent reviews and ensuring its ingredients were safe and clean. I absolutely love this hair product and fully see that my hair looks healthier after just a few weeks of use. It’s incredible!
For the many events brides attend, from their showers to bachelorette parties, it’s great to be able to do your own makeup when you aren’t hiring a pro. I’ve recently added a highlight into my makeup routine for a bit of shine above my cheekbones and it looks so stunning when the light catches it. It’s truly a small but powerful kick for your makeup. My personal favorite is the Fenty Killawatt Highlighter.
Looking for the perfect way to store your engagement ring? Can I make you more interested by telling you that you can also use it for your wedding photos to make your ring truly pop? I am a huge believer in beautiful ring boxes. Whether velvet, ceramic, or glass, I always believe a ring needs a pretty home. Click here for my favorite brands of ring boxes.
As someone who values fitness and an outlet for ridding wedding planning stress, I am a huge fan of Club Pilates. I go about three times a week and it makes me feel so great. I found that yoga is too slow for me and barre class is too miserably burny (if you’ve taken a class you know what I mean!), so pilates is an amazing in-between. I feel stronger and my posture is much better after nearly a year of classes. To find a Club Pilates near you, visit their locations page.
