Back in March, I photographed this gorgeous environment-inspired Encinitas beach wedding inspiration editorial with a lovely team of ladies, including one of my fave florists – Blue Ladder Botany. Yesterday, Southern California Bride published our work and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
For the design of the shoot, Anndrea from Peaches to Poppies and Diamant from Blue Ladder Botany took inspiration from the stunning reef rock on the local beaches that become visible in the late winter/early spring season. The colors of the environment, as well as our details boast so much beauty and life that I don’t think anyone could ignore.
This editorial is so full of organic elements, I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me want to live by the sandy shores of the beach and ditch my inland home. Even on a cold, overcast day like this one, I find so much allure in this setting that has me yearning to be by the waters as I type away in my office.
Let’s also talk about this glorious gown for a minute. It was custom-designed just for this editorial and had everyone swooning over its movement, color, and design. I love the idea of a bride donning a chic custom dress for her wedding day because it can be completely and uniquely her. No other bride has or will wear it, which I find to be so powerful and special and is something I would absolutely consider for my wedding.
