Full of old world eye candy, this bridal session is a beautiful inspiration for brides who love architecture, history, and gorgeous gowns with soft movement. Shot at a historical venue in Miami, which was formerly an estate, this Vizcaya Museum wedding inspiration shoot was entirely inspired by the venue itself as if it were the bride’s home. This shoot was also featured Sunday on Joy Wed, one of my favorite fine art wedding blogs.
The gorgeous Mediterranean Revival architecture provided a stunning setting for the gowns from Chicago designer Alyssa Kristin. While chic and fitted above the waist, both gowns featured skirts that flow beautifully with movement.
Miami florist Julia Rohde created a beautiful neutral bouquet with pops of soft purple and a shape that perfectly complemented the gorgeous structures of the venue. It was utterly breathtaking!
The two bridal hair and makeup looks were elegantly styled and then given a slightly modern and bold feel, respectively.
Model Gilda, with Wilhelmina Models, has been a friend of mine for over 20 years. It was such a treat to work with such a beautiful woman who I am so glad I got to spend time with during this shoot.
My hope is that these images inspire brides to treat themselves to a bridal portrait session before their wedding day. It’s a beautiful thing to be able to tell your own story separate from the day you marry.
