If you’ve seen that I chose the Fairmont Grand Del Mar as my own wedding venue, you know I adore this property. Back in February, I had the pleasure of photographing an incredibly beautiful Grand Del Mar wedding shoot. This past Monday, Magnolia Rouge published the editorial, which I’ve been dying to share!
Invitations and Accessories
Elegant neutral invitations on beautifully textured papers set the tone for this fine art editorial. They perfectly captured the European atmosphere of the Grand Del Mar. Of course, they looked even prettier next to the soft flowers from Blue Ladder Botany, whose boutonnieres were to die for! Simple and yet so impactful. Sometimes less is more when it comes to the groom and groomsmen’s flowers.
Grand Del Mar Wedding Ceremony
Blue Ladder Botany created an asymmetrical floral arrangement to frame the ceremony arch. With the bride in a couture Marchesa gown and the groom in a tux, they looked so chic saying their vows. I just can’t get over how beautiful a bride can be in a non-white gown. Anything fashion-forward and colorful is a winner in my book.
Grand Del Mar Wedding Reception
A long table covered entirely by a velvet linen provided a reception table look that reflects the luxury of the Grand Del Mar. A mix of metallic and matte details were surrounded by stunning white floral arrangements and romantic candles.
A sweetheart table sat within the pavilion of the Aria lawn, an iconic Grand Del Mar wedding location. Two mauve velvet chairs made for the perfect seating for the bride and groom. The pavilion itself is one of the many architectural elements of this property that made me choose it as my own wedding venue. It’s so unique and lends itself to such a beautiful photo opportunity.
Grand Del Mar Wedding Portraits
You know I’m a sucker for a jaw-dropping gown, soft light, and couture fashion, so it should be no surprise that my favorite part of this editorial was the portrait portion. From the Mediterranean pink walls to the weathered staircases, the locations for portraits at the Grand Del Mar are limitless. I adored how exquisitely the gown and black tux photographed among the grounds of the property. These have my so excited for my own wedding next spring!
