I have a deep appreciation for wedding venues with historic charm and beautiful floors (you’ll see what I mean!). Located in downtown San Diego, the US Grant Hotel wedding venue makes for a spectacular place to get married. The US Grant would certainly wow your guests, especially those who opt to stay in one of their gorgeous hotel rooms.
With numerous reception spaces and stunning architecture and ceilings, the US Grant is perfection. I still can’t get over how fantastic the ceilings are in every room. As a photographer, I love a decorated ceiling.
Getting Ready Rooms
I adore the suites at the US Grant. They have gorgeous light and chic decor and walls. They are a photographer’s dream and the perfect location to get ready for the day.
An intimate room, the Crystal Ballroom features a travertine floor, stunning European plasterwork along columns of the room, and a hand-painted ceiling. This room works beautifully as a small ceremony site or a reception space for smaller guest counts.
The first space on my tour was the Palm Court room. This room can hold up to 180 for a seated dinner and 200 for a ceremony.
This space with exquisite blue ceilings can hold up to 250 seated guests for a ceremony or reception. If you’re not into blue, you can easily transform the color of the room with uplights!
Another US Grant space with fabulous ceilings, the Presidential Ballroom is the largest reception space at the hotel. Up to 450 can be accommodated for a seated dinner, making this ballroom a great fit for larger guest counts.
