Find me on
It’s been a little while since my last personal wedding planning blog because we simply haven’t been hiring any new vendors as of late. I did post a few new videos to my YouTube channel on my wedding fitness and weight loss journey, so if you haven’t caught those I recommend checking them out! In today’s installment of the series, I’m talking all about hiring a custom wedding invitation designer for our April wedding.
Custom Wedding Invitations
As someone who adored graphic design courses in high school and college, I have a huge appreciation for the art of the custom invitation suite. The colors, textures, and patterns work together to introduce guests to the theme of the wedding and set the tone for what to expect.
Although there are so many great semi-custom options available, David and I want one of a kind wedding stationery that truly speaks to our personalities and style. Plus, we plan to frame the suite in our home, so we wanted a beautiful set of paper pieces that we’ll love forever.
If you’re considering hiring a custom wedding invitation designer, know that there are so many amazing options like letterpress, foil stamping, edge painting, envelope liners, and a plethora of envelope embellishments. I recommend browsing wedding blogs, Instagram, or Pinterest to gather inspiration for your own invitations.
Twinkle and Toast
Edgy and magical designer Taryn of Twinkle and Toast will be creating custom save the date cards, as well as a full invitation suite for David’s and my wedding next April. We are thrilled to be working with her because we love her balance of script and print fonts, her vibrant colors and gorgeous neutrals, and her overall design aesthetic. I’ve never seen a bad piece of work from her, as everything she creates is totally amazing so I know she’ll make a stunning suite for us!
