Find me on
In mid-September, David and I traveled to Lenox, Massachusetts, to visit his grandparents. It’s always nice to get away from work and enjoy some personal time together. While we were there, we visited the home of Edith Wharton, known as The Mount. The Mount boasts a beauty second to none in this little town. It happens to be a beautiful wedding venue, perfect for a destination wedding.
If you know me, you’ll know I usually love modern architecture. I also happen to love gorgeous historic estates and castles, especially if they ever have a European vibe. The Mount is no exception. I love how grand, yet understated the exterior of the home is. It’s design is so clean, leaving room for a lot of personality in the interior design.
The kitchen of The Mount had been adorably styled and just so happened to have beautiful window light. There was even a gorgeous styled dining room with a fruit and floral centerpiece.
Upstairs, we found a stunning hallway and a few charming bedrooms.

After venturing outside of the home, David and I wandered around in the gardens, which is where many brides choose to marry at The Mount. It’s beautiful and I had the hardest time leaving. I absolutely can’t wait to return to Lenox next fall!
