Aquatic Park + Palace of Fine Arts Engagement Photos in San Francisco

Bridget and Yoav are two adorable San Franciscans living an exciting city life who are totally smitten with each other. With plans to get married at Scripps Forum in San Diego, they mentioned a desire to incorporate their home city of SF into their session. For couples getting married in a different city than where they live, I always suggest scheduling the engagement session to take place in the city where they share a home. Bridget and Yoav’s session did just that and their Aquatic Park and Palace of Fine Arts engagement photos are so dreamy and have me excited for the next time I’m shooting in this bustling city again.  Aquatic Park engagement photo by Cavin ElizabethAfter exploring the insanely windy Aquatic Park pier, we ventured to the Palace of Fine Arts where we were met with gorgeous architecture and yes, more wind. For a minute, I thought I must be in Chicago! Palace of Fine Arts Engagement Photos by Cavin ElizabethPalace of Fine Arts Engagement Photos by Cavin Elizabeth

We had originally planned to visit Sutro Baths, but the skies were far too dark and cloudy to venture all that way west. I’m not complaining, though, because look at this glorious location. The Palace makes you feel like you’ve been transported to another time or another world. It’s so powerfully beautiful and bold. It was the perfect place to photograph a sweet couple like Bridget and Yoav. It almost hugs them as they walk and dance through the pathways of the property.

Bridget and Yoav, I cannot wait until your Scripps Forum wedding in March. It’ll be so exciting to see you two down in San Diego, where I’m sure we’ll have warmer weather that’ll be a whole lot more fun for portraits. See you guys in just a few months!
