Find me on
Meghan and Brian, brother-in-law to Alicia of Before I Do Events, have adventurous spirits that made these Mission Beach engagement photos beautifully light-hearted and fun. I dove deep into their hobbies and asked how they like to spend their time so that I could craft an authentic session for them. Learning that they love tasty drinks and bike riding, I immediately thought of Mission Beach’s boardwalk and Cannonball, a rooftop sushi lounge. They loved the idea as much as I did!
Mission Beach Boardwalk
Brian and Meghan brought their bikes from home for their boardwalk ride in the afternoon sun. In the past, I photographed a sweet couple on skateboards on a nearby boardwalk, so I loved changing it up with bikes for this session. Showing motion on camera with fun activities creates a lovely balance with static poses and moments.

Cannonball Rooftop
Following their bike ride, Megan changed into a beautiful blue floral dress and Brian donned a sleek beige sports coat. We made our way to Cannonball, a tasty sushi restaurant in Belmont Park, where the couple ordered wine and beer to sip next to the fire pit.

Eventually, as the sun was setting, Meghan and Brian walked hand in hand along the sand of Mission Beach. I usually love the end of my sessions most because the light is perfect and the couple is always at their most relaxed. These film images of Meghan and Brian absolutely warm my heart and I love how clear it is that they are in love.

Meghan and Brian, I had the most fun with you two. I love how sweet and silly you are with each other. I know your wedding at the Santaluz Club will be such a beautiful day with an epic party. Counting down the days until July!
