Find me on
I adore photographing weddings and engagements in San Francisco for so many reasons, which is why I was thrilled to make a recent trip there to shoot Lauren and JB’s Golden Gate Park engagement session. Despite the very chilly and foggy day, Lauren and JB absolutely rocked their photos.
A Meaningful Location for Engagement Photos in the Park
Ultra chic and sophisticated, this sweet couple lives really close to the park and goes there often with their dog. I find that engagement sessions carry so much meaning when they take place somewhere special to the couple, which is why we all thought the park would be a great idea. It’s so vast and has so many different scenes, you could shoot here fifty times and never have it look the same. To me, that’s quite a gem of a location quality.
Romantic, Colorful Garden Inspiration
I’m honestly not sure whether the Music Concourse or the Conservatory of Flowers inspired me more during this session. The architecture of the concourse makes such a grand statement, while the bold color palette of the conservatory exudes a romantic garden feel. Both hold so much beauty that I was just giddy with excitement during the whole engagement session.
JB had me totally tickled when he told me of his love for blazers and that SF jobs are so casual, he doesn’t have enough opportunities to wear them. I just adore when grooms are excited about dressing spiffy for engagement sessions. Wardrobe is a huge factor of success in the final images, and the fashionable pieces Lauren and JB picked were absolutely perfect.
Lauren and JB, I am so excited to see you two in Palm Springs in February. Thank you for showing me around your darling Golden Gate Park and being so amazingly sweet and easy to work with. See you two in just a few months!
