Find me on
My past bride Lauren introduced Christina and Ken to me and I couldn’t be more thrilled to work with another San Francisco couple! As it was raining, our (beautiful) backup plan was to shoot their engagement photos at San Francisco City Hall. Given that I am obsessed with City Hall, I was in absolute heaven photographing them in the iconic building.

Engagement Photos at San Francisco City Hall
Ken and Christina met after moving to San Francisco and actually had their second date at City Hall at a gala. Entering City Hall gives you a sense of being transported to a different world. The space feels intimate and welcoming despite its grand size, especially that of the Rotunda. Its Beaux-Arts style carries throughout the building. I fell in love with City Hall for that reason alone. The texture creates so much of a dynamic feeling in photos. If you’re traveling to the area, I highly recommend touring the building. You won’t regret it!

Engagement Photos at Golden Gate Park
Once the rain stopped, we headed toward Golden Gate Park, where Ken often goes for runs. We were nearly there when it started raining again. Thankfully by the time we parked and I scouted, it dried up until the tail end of the session. One great positive about rain means fewer people will be in the backgrounds. We had the whole Music Concourse area to ourselves which felt like a scene out of a movie.

Naturally photogenic, Christina and Ken rocked their engagement session. I adored spending the rainy day with them, especially since they were so positive and never let the rain dampen their excitement! They’ll be getting married this September at Full Belly Farm – a two hour drive north of the city. Stay tuned for their wedding photos later this year!
