Find me on
We rescheduled Esther and Yoon’s engagement session three times due to the unusual rain in San Diego. Finally, we found a sunny afternoon for their Coronado Centennial Park engagement photos. Initially, I met the sweet couple at the adorable Bayview park before heading up Orange St for our final sunset locations.

On the weekends, Esther and Yoon often visit this teeny tiny park to enjoy the skyline views and intimate feeling of the space. It has a special place in their heart, so I suggested shooting there.

They arrived with smiles on their faces, ready to shoot! When both my bride and groom exude such positivity and excitement for their session, I know we’re in for an incredible time and a gorgeous set of images. Yoon says Esther never ceases to brighten his day and make him laugh. Esther remarks that Yoon keeps her smiling, so it seems like they’re in a beautiful circle of happiness!

The roses in Centennial Park were in full bloom on this gorgeous afternoon. Soft yellow, peach, and ivory tones wove throughout the quaint garden, giving us a vibrant background for photos. Despite the inconvenience of San Diego’s rainy spring weather, it left our gardens thriving. I’ve adored shooting my couples amongst the roses and poppies, especially because I can see their love for flowers.

Coronado has an especially meaningful story for this lovely couple. Yoon asked Esther to be his girlfriend and then eventually his wife. He even flew much of his family down to be part of the proposal celebration!

Yoon and Esther marry this September at Rancho Bernardo Inn. I am so eager to see how beautiful their day and details will be! It’s a joy to be working with them this fall!
