Find me on
I’m traveling a lot to San Francisco these days to photograph my lovely couples at cocktail bars, Golden Gate Park, and even the Palace of Fine Arts. It had been on my bucket list to do San Francisco City Hall engagement photos and thanks to Gabrielle and Brett, it finally happened!
Gabrielle and Brett recently moved from Boston to San Francisco for work. For their engagement photos, they wanted a location that featured the beauty of their new city. San Francisco City Hall has very recognizable architecture and literally is a landmark of this hilly city. When I suggested City Hall, Gabe loved the idea. We planned to shoot inside and outside right before sunset. We could not have had more perfect light and weather, as I often am having to shoot in total fog in San Francisco. Thankfully, we had perfectly clear skies!
Brett and Gabrielle happen to be getting married at The Mount in the Berkshires in September. My fiancé’s grandmother lives minutes away from The Mount and I visit it every time we travel there. Gabe and Brett sure have incredible taste for old world and elegant architecture. I’m beyond thrilled to photograph this sweet couple at such a stunning historical venue this September.
After we finished shooting inside, we made our way to the Eastern side of the building, where it was perfectly backlit by the setting sun. The light on the East side was so dreamy and soft. I found myself in photography heaven with Gabe and Brett’s romantic and joyful connection in this light.
Gabrielle and Brett, I had so much fun exploring City Hall with you two. You make my job so easy and fun with your adventurous spirits and obvious love for each other. I cannot wait to see you two again this Fall on the other side of the country!
