I first met Autumn when I was looking for a hair stylist in San Diego and instantly fell in love with her charisma and talent and have loved getting to know her over the past two years. When she got engaged to Stacy and asked me to be their wedding photographer, I couldn’t have been more excited. Their Palm Springs engagement session has definitely been one of the top highlights of my month!

When these beautiful blondes told me they wanted to do their engagement session at their new vacation home in Palm Springs, I knew it was going to be good. I’d been itching to shoot an at-home engagement for about a year, waiting patiently for a home that had amazing light and a gorgeous style. Autumn and Stacy are both driven, intelligent, and ambitious women who light up every room they enter. Autumn’s more serious demeanor is balanced out by Stacy’s playful and jokester personality, which had Autumn laughing for most of the session and my camera incredibly happy.

Recalling the time when they had first met, Stacy says the world just seemed to vanish when she was with Autumn. Could that be anymore of a powerful, romantic way of thinking about a relationship? I doubt it! I also love that Stacy said when she was searching for Autumn’s ring, she knew she had to find a stone large enough to blind the sun. Raise your hand if you need a Stacy in your life! One thing that I really adore about Autumn and Stacy’s relationship is that it includes Stacy’s three children. Listening to Autumn talk about the kids and speak to them on FaceTime on the drive home, it was so very clear that she loves those kiddos and has totally made them a part of her life. The life that these ladies share together, including the people and the past that they have brought into this new life, holds so much value for each of them and is an incredibly beautiful thing to witness. Stacy and Autumn, I loved our little roadtrip for your Palm Springs engagement session. Thank you for inviting me into your gorgeous home.
