Find me on
Teresa and Christian opted to shoot their Balboa Park Cactus Garden engagement photos just a few days before their wedding. Because they didn’t need the engagement photos for save the date cards and they live in Texas, the timing was just fine! Plus, everything they learned in the engagement session was fresh on their mind for the wedding (photos coming soon!). I always stress that the engagement session’s main benefit is getting to know your wedding day photographer and you can read more about why here.

This sweet couple met on Bumble in 2018 and it was a match made in heaven. Christian told me he knew he would marry Teresa from the first time he saw her. During that first date, they enjoyed homemade pizza and wine for hours and hours. I think that’s always a sign of a great relationship in the making. Clearly for Teresa and Christian, it was! When you can hold hours of conversation with someone you just met, consider yourself so lucky.

For nearly two hours, we wandered the nearly empty park, shooting wherever the light and locations inspired me. I soaked up every second of the session, knowing it would be the last couple I work with in 2020 due to COVID. Plus, it was nice chatting with new people after only being around my husband and boutique staff since March! I adored how laid back and fun Teresa and Christian were, especially since Teresa said she’d do anything I wanted for photos. Brides like her make my job so wonderful and allow me to work most creatively.

Stay tuned for photos of Teresa and Christian’s backyard wedding in Fallbrook coming soon. Their day will be full of love and gorgeous details designed by Amorology and Blooms Design House. It’ll certainly be an incredible wedding to end my 2020 season!
